Hello!

My name is Mrs. Dechert and I am a 2nd-grade teacher here at OPS! I graduated from Central Washington University with a bachelor's in elementary education. I was raised in Maple Valley, Washington and I grew up in a bilingual household speaking French and English. My husband and I enjoy spending time outdoors and hiking with our dogs. We have two dogs, Zeus and Bailey, and a cat, Harley. Art is one of my passions, I love to paint in my free time. 

My favorite part of teaching is inspiring a love for learning! I am thrilled to be starting on this year’s journey with your child! I look forward to watching them learn, grow, and have an amazing time in 2nd grade!​
