Welcome to Ms. Grisham's Class! 

I am so excited to have your student in my classroom this year! This is my first year teaching but I have been working with kids for the past four years in the school. I studied at Saint Martin’s University earning my Bachelors degree in Psychology. I continued my education through Grand Canyon University, receiving my Masters in Elementary Education.

I believe in an open-door policy of communication, welcome emails, phone calls, and conferences all year long. Your child’s success is my number one priority!

Every month I will send home a newsletter letting you know what is going on in the school and in the class. This will include their specialist calendar and snack schedule.
Your kiddo will have a green take home folder that needs to come back every day. The folder will contain any school info we are sending home both from class and from the office.
Feel free to send notes back in the folder if there is anything you would like me to know for the day. I will be available on Class Dojo daily for any communication you’d need! 

I believe that positive reinforcement is much more impactful than negative!

This year we will use Class Dojo. Students will receive points for a variety of things that I might notice throughout the day. Students can also lose points. Anyone who reaches our monthly goal earns a trip to the prize box. Parents can use the app from home to get updates throughout the day as well as communicate with me directly.
