Summer Resources

Welcome to summer! Below is a list of resources available to our families in Orting and Pierce County.

Orting School District Summer Hours

While schools will be closed all summer, our district will be open while operating on a modified schedule starting Friday, July 12. All buildings are closed for Independence Day (July 4-5), Labor Day (Sept. 2), and every Friday until August 2.

Orting Food Bank Summer Meals Program

This program is for all children 18 years old and younger. Children must be present to receive lunch.

Healthy sack lunches will be served every weekday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Orting City Park BBQ area. The program will run from June 24 to August 30. The food bank will be closed July 4. Visit the Orting Food Bank website for additional information.

In addition, for our high school students looking for volunteer hours, this is a great opportunity to earn those hours and help out our community and families! Please text the Director of the Orting Food Bank, Robin Hash, at 360-932-5419 to schedule the days you are able to help!
